1. Look at the plastic skin
The plastic skin of regular wires is soft and smooth, and the color is uniform. Several items on the product certificate shall also be printed on its surface, such as specification and model, factory name and address, etc. At the same time, the handwriting is clear and not easy to erase. The insulation layer of fake and shoddy wires seems very thick. In fact, most of them are made of recycled plastic of optical cables. Over time, the insulation layer will age and leak electricity.
2. Look at the length
For the problem of whether the length is enough, you can first count the number of turns, then measure the length of each turn, and then multiply the length of each turn by the total number of turns. The figure obtained is the actual wire length.
3. Look at the product label
The purchased wires shall be purchased in regular shopping malls, and the national electrician certification mark shall be recognized. For the wires produced by regular manufacturers, there will be a certificate under each bundle of transparent packaging paper. The contents on the certificate shall include: factory name and address, certification number, specification and model, wire length, rated voltage, etc. Fake and shoddy wires are often "three no products", but they also have ambiguous origin and other marks, such as made in China, made in a province or city in China, which is actually equal to the unmarked origin.
4. Look at the copper wire
When you buy, you can cut off a small piece of plastic skin and check the copper wire inside. Gently touch the top of the copper wire with the palm of your hand. The copper core of the qualified copper core wire should be purplish red, shiny and soft. The color of the copper wire of the regular wire is bright and red, while the copper core of the fake and shoddy copper core wire is purple black, yellow or white, with many impurities, poor mechanical strength and poor toughness. It will break with a little force, and there are often wire breaks in the wire. During inspection, just peel off one end of the wire for 2cm, and then rub it on the copper core with a piece of white paper. If there is black material on the white paper, it indicates that there are many impurities in the copper core. The inferior copper wire has black color and high hardness. Pull the copper wire into a small circle. If there are too many impurities in the copper wire, such as copper-clad steel wire, it will rebound. If the copper quality is better, it will not rebound and form a circle. Then slowly straighten the copper wire and restore it. When it is completely restored, it proves that the copper wire material is really good.
